Who is the buyer and who is the seller?
Whoever creates the deal chooses. The buyer or payer is the one paying money into escrow. The seller or payee is the one delivering and getting paid.
What are milestones?
A milestone is a piece of a larger deal, with its own amount, delivery date and inspection window.
What is the inspection window?
It is the time the buyer has to check the delivery before the money is released.

Can I cancel a deal?
Sometimes. The rules are strict, and the app enforces them.

Can I get a record of a deal?
Yes. Open the deal and choose Download record. You get a PDF showing the parties, the amounts, the milestones, the fees and what was released.
What is my Bizik wallet?
It is the money we hold for you that is not tied up in a deal. You can add to it, send from it, pay a deal from it, and withdraw from it.
How do I add money?
Say “deposit 5000” on WhatsApp, or use Add money in the app.
How do I send money to someone?
Say “send 5000 to @handle”, or use Send in the app. You can use a handle or a phone number.
⚠ Can I get money back if I send it to the wrong person?
No. A transfer cannot be reversed.
How do I withdraw?
Say “withdraw money”, or use Withdraw in the app. The money goes to a Mobile Money number or bank account registered to your account.

Why do I have to verify my identity?
Because we hold and move money, and the law requires us to know who our customers are. It is also what stops someone opening an account in your name.

Are there taxes on top?
Our fees are shown exclusive of VAT, which we add where we are required to. Electronic transfers in Cameroon may also attract a small government duty.
When should I open a dispute?
When money is in escrow, something has genuinely gone wrong, and talking to the other person has not fixed it.
What happens when I open one?
1. The money freezes in escrow. Neither of you can touch it.
