How it works

How Bizik keeps your money safe

Follow the money from the buyer's wallet to the seller's payout. At every stage you can see exactly where it is and who controls it.

In your wallet

Buyer controls it

Held in escrow

Nobody can spend it

Released

Seller is paid

Live state:Released to seller

01

Agree the deal

Either side creates the deal: what's being sold or built, the price, the currency, the delivery date, and milestones if it's a big one. You invite the other party by phone number - they don't need an account yet.

Protected: nothing is charged until both sides accept the terms in writing.

02

Pay into escrow

The buyer funds the deal from MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, a card, a bank transfer or their Bizik wallet. Confirmation is usually instant - both sides get a notification the second it lands.

Protected: funds move into a segregated escrow account, not to the seller and not into Bizik's operating money.

03

Deliver

The seller ships the goods or submits the work, with proof attached - photos, tracking, files. The buyer gets an inspection window to check it and either approve or ask for a revision.

Protected: the delivery, the proof and every message are timestamped - they become the evidence if there's ever a dispute.

04

Release

The buyer approves and the money moves. The seller is paid out to MTN, Orange, their bank or Payoneer, the fee is deducted, both sides get a branded PDF receipt, and each can leave a review.

Auto-release: if the buyer goes quiet after delivery, the funds release automatically once the inspection window closes - so sellers are never stuck.

Disputes

What if something goes wrong?

Then the money stops moving. Either side can open a dispute at any point before release - you're never left alone with it.

Step 01

Freeze

Funds lock instantly. No release, no refund, no payout while the case is open.

Step 02

Evidence

Both sides upload proof: photos, delivery notes, files, chat history. 72 hours each.

Step 03

Mediator

A neutral Bizik mediator reviews the file. We never take a side or a cut of the outcome.

Step 04

Binding ruling

Release, refund, or split. The decision is final and executed the same day.

For buyers

  • Your money is never with the seller before delivery
  • Inspection window before you release
  • Revision requests instead of an argument
  • Refund route if nothing arrives

For sellers

  • Proof the money exists before you start
  • Milestones so long projects pay as they go
  • Auto-release if the buyer disappears
  • Payout to MoMo, bank or Payoneer

As long as the deal terms allow. Most deals set a delivery date and an inspection window of 3–7 days. If neither side acts, the funds auto-release to the seller once the window closes, or return to the buyer if nothing was ever delivered.

Whoever you agree on when the deal is created - buyer, seller, or split 50/50. The split is shown to both parties before anyone commits, so there are no surprises at payout.

Yes. Deals with milestones release stage by stage, so a designer can be paid for discovery while the build is still in escrow. You can also agree a partial release on a single-stage deal.

Auto-release protects the seller. Once the inspection window closes without an approval or a dispute, the funds are released automatically and paid out on the seller's normal payout schedule.
